Written by John Lennon, the song “All you need is love” was the inspiration for Madame Babstock’s Grade 3 students! The students in Madame Noseworthy’s Grade 3/4 class chose to create a very deep, bold, and very rich abstract painting. Created using geometric shapes and acrylic paint, this painting makes a statement on your wall; it is simply stunning!  This painting measures 24” x 36”.  

This stunning firecracker picture created by the Grade 1s in Madames Stavert & Newman’s class truly represents the bright and exuberant students in their class.  This acrylic painting, on a high quality canvas measuring 30” x 40”, will surely spark conversation by visiting houseguests. 

Ms. Pottinger’s Grade 6 class has been studying various artists and their techniques throughout the year. One of the class’s favorite artists to date is Jackson Pollock and so they have recreated their very own abstract painting using Mr. Pollock’s drip painting technique. It was messy! It was fun! It was exciting to watch the paint fly onto the canvas (for the students at least...Ms. Pottinger, not so much). The result…this beautifully bright rendition! On a daily basis, the Grade Primary students in Madame McCormick’s class listen to classical music as a way to calm and refocus. Their class painting was inspired by music as students took turns painting while listening to classical music. They chose colours based on how the music made them feel and painted to the beat of the music. This artwork was painted on high quality canvas with acrylic paint and measures 24” x 24”. 

Would you believe this painting was inspired by a picture found in a calendar? The talented students of Mr. Casey’s Grade 4/5 class recreated this exquisite butterfly picture from a small picture they found in a calendar – it’s true! The students did an amazing job ensuring all the fine details on these beautiful insects made their way on to their painting. This piece of art would be a welcome addition in any home. Mr. Casey’s students painted this picture using acrylic paint on high quality canvas. It measures 22” x 28”.

Mrs. Ross’s Grade 4 class created an amazingly bright geometric abstract painting that would beautifully decorate the walls of any home. Painted with fingers, this painting measures 20” x 28” and is painted with acrylic paint. Did we mention yet that the students used only their fingers to paint this masterpiece? So cool!! It contains a variety of colours that are sure to match all wall colours and textures.

This bright painting, titled Helping Hands, is a fitting representation of both Ms. Stevens and her Grade 1 class. Regardless of what needs to be done, Ms. Stevens and her class are always willing to help the school out. Their wonderful acts of random kindness surely put a smile on everyone’s face just as this colourful painting does.  This painting was created with the help of a parent using acrylic paint and this high quality canvas measures 30” x 40”.

Doesn’t this painting make you want to run outside and dance in the rain?! The students from Ms. Josey’s Grade 2/3 put their heart and soul into creating an original piece of art for the auction. The students had a blast painting their love of the idea of colorful rain; the colours on the painting match the personalities of the students in this class.  This painting measures 24” x 36” and has been painted with acrylic paint on high quality canvas.

This wonderfully warm and calming painting of two lilies is a sure sign of the weather to come. Madame Gillis’ Grade 1 class painting was inspired by ‘shape poetry’ they were learning in class. This acrylic painting measures 20” x 28” and will brighten any wall.

Madame Gauthier’s students were very excited to create their class painting.  Inspired by modern art, they created an abstract painting illustrating their knowledge of the principle of ‘line’ design in art.  This artwork was created on high quality canvas with acrylic paint and measures 24” x 36”.

Inspired by the Marconi penguin, Monsieur Aucoin’s talented Grade 5 class created this whimsical Arctic penguin picture that is sure to humour all. Wanting to create something that no other class would produce, the students had incredible fun creating this truly origninal piece. Painted with acrylic paint on a high quality canvas, this painting measures 24” x 36”. 

Very fitting that Madame McGrath’s Grade Primary students used only primary colours, in varying shades, to paint this high quality canvas. Each student had the opportunity to paint this canvas and add their own flair to the project through colour or texture.  This abstract painting measures 24” x 36”. 

Madame Blinn’s Grade 2/3 class created this fancy yet peaceful abstract painting that will surely gain the attention of your houseguests; they blended the colours beautifully to create a very calming affect on the viewer.  First creating a very smooth surface, the students added very subtle texture using acrylic paint on a high quality canvas measuring 30” x 40”. This painting is a must have!

Sit, relax and lose yourself in this sunset painting created by Madame Joubert’s Grade 4/5 class. Capturing the beauty of a fall sunset, this painting affords us the opportunity to revisit the Sun’s radiance everyday regardless of the weather. This is an acrylic paint on high quality canvas and measures 30” x 40”.

Mrs. Moore's Grade 6 class has been studying the artwork and techniques of various artists throughout time. They have brilliantly recreated the well-known painting "Starry Night" that was originally created in 1889 by the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. The painting was created with acrylic paint on high quality canvas and measures 36" x 48".  This painting was a team effort. Everyone, including Mrs. Moore and an international exchange student from Thailand, took part in this project in some way. This piece of artwork is timeless and would be a great addition to any wall looking for a little history. 

The sunflower series by famous Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh inspired Madame Irwin’s Grade ½ class. Giving us a sign that summer is surely coming, this painting was created with acrylic paint on high quality canvas measuring 24” x 36”. 

The theme for this painting is Action Figures; it is one of a kind! The Grade 6 students in Madame Englehutt’s class decided on the theme and then sectioned off their 36” x 48” high quality canvas so each student could create their very own painting. This very special piece of art is as unique as each of the students in the class. It was created with heart and a great deal of pride using acrylic paint.  This is sure to be a hit, so get your bids in!

The Grade 5 students in Ms. Grant’s class collaborated with a resident artist (their amazing EPA) to create this remarkable piece of art. The colour blocking background was inspired by a ‘home design’ show one of the students watches regularly. The tree was added to represent the tree featured prominently on the classroom wall; it symbolizes growth, strength, and knowledge.  In keeping with a modern motif, the abstract circles – inspired by artist Wassily Kandinsky – were added to the tree to represent balance in life. Growth, strength, knowledge and balance are all pieces in the puzzle of life.  This piece was created using acrylic paint on high quality canvas and measures 30” x 40”.

Every student in Mrs. Baker’s Grade Primary/1 class holds a special role and each one of them brings their unique personalities to the room; it is a truly wonderful place to be. This lovely acrylic painting captures their united spirit; it illustrates how they are all intertwined and dependent on the other.  This painting measures 24” x 24” and was painted on high quality canvas. 

Inspired by Mondrian, this painting was created by the Grade 6 students from the We Act Club. The modern-city skyline is reflected in the harbour and the evening sky is filled with a their own beautiful rendition of Piet Mondrian’s work. This painting was created using acrylic paint and measures 22” x 28”.

Members of We Act created this acrylic masterpiece as a representation of the 42 people working side by side to change from "Me to We". The hands represent all the volunteer work done to help and support our local and global organizations. The splatter reminds us that it only takes one person to affect change, but with more people working together the effect of change is far greater. Inspired by the beautiful Northern Lights that illuminate the evening sky, the members of our We Act Club created this spectacular acrylic painting using a layering technique to re-create the movement observed in the Northern Lights. This painting measures 24” x 24”. 

What started out as a painting inspired by a Pink Floyd album cover, turned into this stunning Jackson Pollack style splatter painting. Though the route to this final product was a bumpy one, the end result is nothing short of spectacular. It is a true representation of what the We Act Club stands for; the artists in this group turned their thoughts from “Me to We” to create something they were all proud of. Everyone in Mrs. McCully’s Grade 3 class has a special place in the room; each student is as important as the other. This 24” x 24” acrylic painting, on high quality canvas, represents the community of friendship created in their room. The students were excited to explain to We Act how the interconnected hands in their painting illustrates how anyone and everyone can be friends. What a wonderful piece of art to discuss with those that visit your home! 

Who said math couldn’t inspire art? The Grade 1/2 students in Mrs. Smith/Mrs. Gibbon’s room would tell you differently.  Zentangle art as well as the ‘pattern’ unit they were working on in math class inspired their masterpiece. Each student created their own Zentangle and then as a class they created one mass design. The painting was created using acrylic paint and measures 30” x 40”. The colours will match the walls of almost any home. This modern piece of art will be the talk of all your guests.
